Marathon success for Licensing Link’s Ian Wickham

Agency director conquers London Marathon course in aid of The Children’s Trust.

Director of licensing agency Licensing Link, Ian Wickham is celebrating this morning after conquering the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon course yesterday (April 23).

Ian (pictured) was raising funds for The Children’s Trust – which is one of the charities supported by The Light Fund.

Ian told The Source: “That was hard. Having been promised chilly overcast conditions and wearing appropriate kit, I wasn’t expecting the warm sunny weather experienced yesterday which definitely took its toll.

“Feet and legs both shot to pieces, bruising around the shins and blistering bigger than my big toe have all left their mark as a result of running the marathon. I was also overtaken by a very focused Olaf and ‘Rhino Paul’, and I lost track of all the times I heard ‘Reckon it’ll be a draw’ directed at the Mr and Mrs Crayon team.”

Ian added: “For all the pain though, what an experience. You can’t explain how big a part the crowd and atmosphere play in getting you over the final line. And to all those who have supported and donated – thank you so very much indeed. It makes it all worthwhile.”
