Manchester City, Mattel join Merchmaker team

Licensed print on demand specialist adds brace of new signings to roster.

Print on demand specialist Merchmaker is continuing to grow its roster of sports and entertainment brands, signing up Manchester City and Mattel.

As part of its deal with Manchester City, Merchmaker will be offering personalised and customised products covering apparel, accessories, homeware and gifting.

These will feature in Merchmaker’s upcoming retail and publisher integrations which include The Entertainer’s Create Your Own site and several others to launch in 2018.

Kim Rowles, retail and licensing executive at Manchester City, said: “The print on demand business is an exciting model that offers many benefits to brand owners. The Evode Group are leaders in the development of this business in the UK and internationally and we’re delighted to be partnering with them for this range of products.”

Nicola Thompson, UK retail and licensing director at The Evode Group, added: “With Manchester City flying high in the Premier League, they are a fantastic addition to the Merchmaker portfolio of sports rights. We look forward to be able to capitalise on their success on the pitch.”

In addition, the company has also secured a deal with Mattel for brands including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Thomas & Friends and Fireman Sam, plus new property Enchantimals.

The Mattel brands will also launch on the Create Your Own platform.
