Magic week for The Light Fund

Over £7,000 raised from The B&LLAs raffle, bumping weekly total to over £21,000.

A mega week has seen the coffers of industry charity The Light Fund swelled by well over £21,000.

First of all, the six marathons in six days team of Jason Easy and Katie Ball from BBC Worldwide, and Ben Lowe from Roy Lowe & Sons have now raised £14,165 for the charity.

This figure was topped up by the generous guests at yesterday’s Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards, with the raffle – which was drawn by model and TV presenter Abbey Clancy – raising well over £7,000.

A host of big name prizes were kindly donated from a range of companies for the traditional raffle.

These included a rare first edition signed Andy Warhol screenprint of Marilyn Monroe from the artist’s The Factory Years series, kindly donated by Those Licensing People.

An Anya Hindmarch Bathurst satchel from the Smiley Collection was donated by Anya Hindmarch and The Smiley Company.

In addition, Help for Heroes donated a case of red and white white, while Golden Goose and Oasis offered a shopping spree in the retailer’s Tottenham Court Road concept store.

A bespoke Beano Monopoly set, screenprint and year’s subscription to the Beano magazine was donated by Beano Studios and Start Licensing, while BBC Worldwide gave two VIP tickets to the BBC Good Food Show Winter and BBC Gardeners’ World Live.

A 12-bottle case of Processo and a £250 gift voucher for a luxury spa experience came courtesy of Happy Jackson, while Gosh Designs at PMS International donated a day trip for two on The Northern Belle train (part of the Orient Express).

Two covetable tickets to the NFL Jags versus Ravens match at Wembley Stadium and a pre-game sideline visit were donated by NFL, NFLPA and Brandgenuity.

Finally, a rare edition of Rock n Roll Album hardback of Terry O’Neill’s iconic photography was donated by Iconic Images, Terry O’Neill and TSBA, while the Natural History Museum donated a night inside the museum, including a three course meal, live music and an all-night monster movie marathon.
