Patisserie café teams with brand to create decadent cakes, macaroons and more.
LuxBite – the patisserie café based in Melbourne, Australia – is partnering with Sanrio and agent Haven Licensing for its first food collaboration with Hello Kitty.
LuxBite – which opened in December 2010 – combines traditional French techniques with Asian-inspired flavours.
It has partnered with Hello Kitty to create decadent cakes, macaroons and more – co-branded as LuxBite x Hello Kitty – launching this month.
Tom Punch, md of Haven Licensing, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with LuxBite and working with their talented team as we know they’ll deliver something truly amazing into the world of food.
“We are so excited to welcome a new partner to the Hello Kitty portfolio and we’re very eager to not only see the range, but also taste the decadent LuxBite x Hello Kitty cakes and macaroons.”
Bernard Chu and Yen Lee, founders of LuxBite, added: “We’ve loved the brand for years, and we know that a lot of our regulars love Hello Kitty, too. We are so excited to showcase our own take on the beloved icon by way of elegant and delicious cakes. Melbourne, you’re in for a treat!”
Clara Wooller, marketing director at Sanrio, continued: “LuxBite x Hello Kitty offers a taste of accessible luxury which will be hard to resist for fans all things kawaii and Hello Kitty. This is food which is made to be snapped and shared – and then eaten. Very quickly!”
