Lush powers up with The Super Mario Bros. Movie

Handmade cosmetics company, Lush has released an exclusive product collection ahead of Nintendo and Illumination’s new animated action comedy, The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The limited edition eight-piece range is based on some of the most popular characters from the movie, which is released in UK cinemas on 5 April.

The range includes a never before created product by Lush, a Question Block bath bomb with a hidden collectable power up soap inside, each with its own unique fragrance and colour. From mischievous mushrooms to the elusive and exclusive gold star, there are six to choose from.

In addition, the range includes two shower gels – a red nostalgic cola-cube scented Mario shower gel with pomegranate juice and a fluorescent green Luigi shower gel scented with apple and rose absolute.

There is also a Gold Coin soap featuring the popular ‘Honey I Washed the Kids’ scent, plus two shower jellies based on Princess Peach and Bowser. Lush has also dedicated a body spray too Princess Peach, creating a new scent – a juicy blend of peaches and pineapple.

Fans can also create their own bespoke mystery gift boxes, adding their favourite products from the range and packaged in a yellow Question Block box.

“We’re thrilled with the Lush x The Super Mario Bros. Movie collaboration,” commented Stephanie Kraus, svp global design and product development at Universal Products & Experiences. “The collection is innovative and iconic with surprise and delight elements inspired by the film, and we can’t wait for the reaction from fans.”
