Agent looking to grow licensing programme for Edgar Rice Burroughs creation.
LMI is looking to sign up licensing partners for Tarzan.
With a new Warner Bros. movie due in July, the literary character – created by Edgar Rice Burroughs – will be heading back into the spotlight, with LMI looking to capitalise on this.
Tarzan of the Apes made his first appearance in All Story Magazine in 1912, and since then a number of artists around the world have come up with their own renditions.
LMI has access to a vast collection of works from many different artists, available for use on licensed products, such as the one featured by Charles Ren.
James J. Sullos, Jr., president of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., said: “Over the years, Tarzan has represented human survival against all odds, rugged individualism, and a protector of the natural habitat – he is the first conservationist.
“We are delighted to be continuing our relationship for licensing with LMI.”
