Lisle Licensing adds to lifestyle portfolio with design brand, Studio Blom

Lisle Licensing has secured a new client for its growing lifestyle portfolio with the recent signing of the vibrant and eclectic design brand, Studio Blom.

Collaborating with publisher, Pigment, the Northern-based brand has seen huge growth in its feel-good eclectic, maximalist greeting cards designs.

Nominated as a 2023 finalist at The Henries, Studio Blom is proud of its achievements to date. The success of its bold greeting cards range – which currently retails in almost 1,000 independent retailers, Oliver Bonas, Sainsbury’s, Waterstones, WH Smith, Tesco and Morrisons – has paved the way for partnerships which have the potential to grow in line with an impactful licensing programme.

Lisle will look to broaden Studio Blom’s original greeting cards range with stationery lines which include innovative twists on gift presentation, as well as vibrant and functional notepads, pens and planners.

Branching into the lifestyle category, the focus will be targeted towards confectionery, chocolate gifts and baking, kitchenware and homeware, home fragrance and self-care, plus seasonal gifting for Christmas and spring seasons 2025/26.

The first licensee on board is Widdop and Co which will be creating products spanning gifting, dinnerware and drink ware, crafting, home accessories, candles and home fragrance. The first collection will launch in August.

“Welcome to the colourful, vibrant world that is Studio Blom! We are seeing its outstanding design credentials translating onto many high-quality products at accessible price points for the broadest range of shoppers,” commented Martin Powderly, creative director at Pigment. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response to our initial greetings card collection and have appointed the team at Lisle Licensing to take this brand into many more categories in 2024/25.”

Becky Sherwood, retail and licensing manager at Lisle Licensing, continued: “This is such a fun brand to represent with its bold, out-there designs and the team’s constant enthusiasm to innovate as they move into the licensing sector. We are delighted to have Widdop and Co. as the first licensee who recognise ‘sentiment’ as a consumer trend that retailers are wanting to embrace. Having Studio Blom join their impressive list of existing licensees is a great starting point for growth in 2024.”
