LIMA’s Licensing Essentials Course line-up shapes up

Popular annual event takes place on Thursday May 3 at Lord’s cricket ground.

The line-up for next month’s LIMA Licensing Essentials Course and Spring Fling is taking shape, with a host of big names confirmed to speak.

The popular event is taking place on Thursday, May 3 in The Long Room at Lord’s cricket ground, London.

The day will see a full course programme, designed to inform delegates on a number of different aspects of the licensing business.

The line-up includes:

• The basics of licensing – LIMA UK
• The role of the agent – The Point.1888
• Successful licensing from the licensee’s perspective – Jazwares
• Essential financial know-how (auditing licensing income) – 360 Audit
• Essential legal know-how (licensing contract examples) – Briffa
• Licensing and merchandising in the music sector – Event Merchandising
• Fashion Licensing – Brand Strategy Advice
• How kids respond to retail environments – Kids Industries
• New Way of Merchandising to kids between nursery and preschool – Fundamentally Children

The Spring Fling will then begin from 5pm with the popular Question Time Panel Debate. This year’s panellists are: Emma Beetson (Tomato Source), Tine Louise Foster (Nimbus Nine Consulting), Chris Taday (Licensing Link Europe) and Denise Penn (Octane 5).

LIMA UK md, Kelvyn Gardner, commented: “The Spring Fling panel debate has become a much-anticipated fixture of our annual licensing education day. The panel ends the formal seminars of the Licensing Essentials Course and brings in guests for the networking party to get the evening off to a flying start.

“Be sure not to miss mixing with your peers, and winning new contacts including more than 50 junior buyers from top retailers including Halfords, John Lewis, Matalan, Morrisons, River Island, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and The Entertainer. Our venue is the famous Long Room at Lord’s and, weather permitting, the fabulous roof terrace. ’

Early bird rates for tickets ends on Wednesday April 18. You can secure your place by clicking on this link.
