Lidl grows brand alliance with Heidi Klum

Third collection from German supermodel includes children’s lines for the first time.

Value retailer Lidl is continuing to build its successful collaboration with Heidi Klum, with the German supermodel launching her third clothing collection including designs for children for the first time.

The new lines arrived in stores on Sunday March 4 and include a #LetsDenim range, plus Pepperts! by Heidi Klum for youngsters.

Media reaction to the collections has been strong, with many pointing out the designer similarities in the items, but for a fraction of the price.

Heidi, who used New York as the inspiration behind her first collection for Lidl, turned to Los Angeles for the new denim line, with it reflecting ‘true Southern Californian’ style.

“I’ve always been a big fan of denim,” Heidi commented. “You can combine it with almost anything: sometimes it is casual, sometimes it is chic. The #LetsDenim collection reflects this versatility and can be tailored to anyone’s personal style, and for any occasion.”

Ryan McDonnell, commercial director for Lidl UK, added: “After launching two successful collections with Heidi Klum, we are excited to expand access to her signature styles, and to allow Heidi’s youngest fans to shop and access her new denim range.”

Lidl revealed its collaboration with Heidi in June last year, giving it a significant platform to build on its branded fashion offer.
