Line-up of activity, including entertainment showcases, set for May 22-25.
A raft of activity is set to ramp up the awareness surrounding Licensing Expo this year, with UBM revealing plans for a special ‘Licensing Week’ in May.
The initiative will see events and initiatives take place outside of the traditional three-day show window.
Key to this will be a series of invite-only franchise and entertainment showcases from brand owners, kicked off by Hasbro Consumer Products.
Running at various times on May 22 and 23 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the events will feature upcoming projects and property debuts.
Other licensors taking part include Cartoon Network Enterprises, Disney Consumer Products, Mattel, NBC Universal, Nickelodeon, Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
In addition to this, a special Orientation Breakfast will be held on Monday May 22 for attendees and exhibitors new to Licensing Expo.
Jessica Blue, svp licensing at UBM, will introduce the show’s team, provide an overview of the Expo and Licensing Week and give tips for making the most of the event.
Other events will include an Art & Design Mixer for exhibitors in the art and design category, an international cocktail hour, a Women in Toys breakfast and an agents’ business forum.
The LIMA International Licensing Awards and traditional opening night party will also return.
Licensing Expo runs from May 23-25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas.
