Licensing Matters Global drives inaugural licensing programme for KFC

In collaboration with KFC, Licensing Matters Global has initiated a licensing programme aimed at expanding the brand’s reach and appeal, particularly targeting the Gen Z demographic.

The partnership has led to exclusive collaborations across various sectors, with an initial focus on apparel, fashion accessories, gifts, novelties, socks, jewellery, headwear and pet toys for the US market.

Notable partners include Isaac Morris, CultureFly, Ethnical Products and Zuru.

Isaac Morris has secured over 18 skus spanning different categories for the US, while CultureFly will offer headwear and pet toys exclusively for the US market.

Ethnical Products is set to produce pet toys for the US market, with details to be announced soon. Zuru, meanwhile, has developed miniature KFC product capsules featuring collectable items for fans in the US and Canada.

Leila Loumi, senior global licensing director at Licensing Matters Global, has expressed enthusiasm for spearheading KFC’s inaugural licensing programme. She emphasises the importance of appointing long-term partners which can generate consumer enthusiasm and open further opportunities for the brand.

More licensing programmes are expected to be revealed in the future.
