Licensing Link Europe continues to grow its portfolio, being appointed by LIFE to develop the programme in the UK and other territories on a case-by-case basis.
The initial focus for the agency will be home, gift and social expression, with Cotton Division already signed in France for an apparel collection.
In addition to this, long-term licensee Pyramid International will be launching a range of LIFE wall art; Brand Alliance is on board for apparel; while Displate will be creating metal posters.
Nick Arnold, manager for international business development at Dotdash Meredith, commented: “The LIFE Picture Collection has captured millions of moments in time that will live on forever. We are thrilled to partner with Licensing Link Europe to continue the legacy of these iconic photographs in new ways.”
Chris Taday, director of Licensing Link Europe, added: “We are delighted to have LIFE join our portfolio of brands. With so much increased awareness in diversity, cultural movement and social evolution around how we have developed across the last 50 years or so, LIFE delivers on the key moments that either sparked events in history or reflect key milestones that have shaped who we are today.”
The LIFE Picture Collection is the visual chronicle of the 20th century and the most prestigious private photographic archive in the US. From 1936 to 2000, LIFE commissioned more than 10 million photographs across 120,000 stories.
