Trade body expands popular Young Professionals Network into territory.
Licensing International has expanded its popular Young Professionals Network into France, creating a dedicated committee.
Like the successful US and UK committees, YPN France will serve several missions with the aim of energising the entire network of young professionals in the licensing professions in France.
Hélène El Arouni (head of media and consumer products, Planeta Junior France); Florent Gammino (consumer products manager international, Alpha Group); Capucine Humblot (head of licensing and merchandising, Xilam); Mathilde Steiner (shopper marketing coordinator, Disney France); and Mathilde Teofilak (consumer products manager, hardlines publishing and operational marketing, Mattel) will lead the committee together.
It will be chaired by Céline Georges (marketing manager, TF1 Licences) and in close collaboration with Laurent Taieb (president of Licensing International France) and Florence Ayem (secretary general, LI France).
Three main areas of development have been identified: recruiting new talent in the industry through communication work in schools and universities, supporting young professionals with conferences and promoting the industry with regular events and meetings.
The founding committee commented: “In an era where ‘content is king’, with the emergence of SVOD platforms and social networks, the licensing professions remain very little known and we often arrive in this industry by chance. How can we imagine that students or young workers could get interested by our industry, when they only have limited knowledge about it?
“This is one of the issues to which YPN France wishes to respond, with the ambition of bringing a real dynamic of communication on our professions.”
