Licensing International dates next UK YPN event

Summer event will take place at the V&A on Friday August 9.

Licensing International UK has confirmed details of its next Young Professionals Network event.

The summer educational event is due to take place at the V&A on Friday August 9 from 4pm until 7pm.

It will aim to give an insight into the V&A’s licensed products inspired by its archives.

Lauren Sizeland, head of licensing and Brand Ambassador of the Year at the B&LLAs 2019, alongside head of retail Sarah Sevier will give a talk on how those ranges are taken to different international markets.

In addition, as a special bonus, the V&A has kindly offered tickets to the sold out Christian Dior exhibition to the young professionals.

Tickets are limited, with just 20 available.

The V&A event follows on from the success of the Speedy Networking event which was held at the Coca-Cola head offices in June. Young professionals from the licensing industry spent 5five minutes chatting to each retail experts 1:1 before a bell rings and they move onto the next person. The focus was on gaining insights into what buyers look for from a licensing perspective, what insights they can give from their area and any general career advice.

Retail buyers and experts from Tesco, Selfridges, Forbidden Planet, HMV , The Entertainer and more hosted tables and gave career advice to junior licensing executives.

The Licensing International UK YPN programme for 2019 is sponsored by brandcomply.com – fueled by Octane5.
