Licensing Expo switches to May for 2017

Show will move to May 23-25 following feedback from exhibitors and visitors.

UBM and LIMA have confirmed that Licensing Expo 2017 will move from its traditional June slot.

The show will instead move forward by a month, running from May 23-25. The venue will remain the same, the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas.

The move has been made to allow additional time between the US show and sister event Brand Licensing Europe.

It also means that there will be more room between the show and E3, the video games trade event which is traditionally held in Los Angeles a week before Licensing Expo.

The increasing crossover of the licensing and video games industries has meant that a large number of companies are now attending and exhibiting at both shows.
