Licensed names make The Calies 2018 shortlist

Danilo, Carousel Calendars, Santoro, Pyramid among this year’s nominees.

A number of licensees have been named in the shortlist for The Calies 2018.

Taking place on Wednesday, November 28 at Stationers’ Hall, The Calies is the dedicated industry awards for calendars, diaries and Advents. This year’s event will be hosted by stand up comedian, Henry Paker.

Danilo has been nominated across a swathe of categories for licensed calendars including BBC Blue Planet II, VW Campervan, David Bowie Collectors Edition, Kylie Minogue, Harry Potter Deluxe, Star Wars Deluxe, Great British Bake Off, Doctor Who Desk Pad and Rick and Morty Magic Cube.

Meanwhile, Portico Designs has been nominated for its Wildlife Photographer of the Year calendar among others, and Pyramid International has been named for its Bob Marley calendar and Winnie the Pooh diary.

Carousel Calendars also has a clutch of nominees including for its National Geographic Photo of the Day desk calendar, WWF Amazing Species, RSPB Ailsa Black Naturally Organised Family Calendar and National Railway Museum – Britain By Rail calendar.

Brown Trout, Avonside Publishing, Flame Tree Publishing, Santoro, Woodmansterne and Chronicle Books have also received nominations for licensed lines.
