Licensed names celebrate at UK Calendar Awards

Danilo, Portico Designs, Carousel Calendars, teNeues among winners at The Calies 2017.

A host of licensed names were celebrating last night, having been named winners in the UK Calendar Awards 2017.

The top 2018 calendars, diaries and advents were feted at the new awards event – known as the Calies – which was held at Stationers’ Hall, London and hosted by comedian Tania Edwards. The event was organised by Max Publishing.

A raft of licensed products had been nominated across a wide variety of categories.

Danilo was one victorious licensee – picking up Best Music, Talent or Sports Calendar for The Beatles Collectors and Best Family Organiser or Planner for Happy Jackson.

In addition, md and founder Laurence Prince was named The Calies’ Calendar Ambassador 2017.

Best Art, Illustration or Design Calendar was awarded to teNeues for its TV Boy Modern Icons, while Portico Designs picked up Best Diary (Licensed) for Caroline Gardner Hearts.

Carousel Calendars was awarded Best Charity Calendar for its RNLI Gallery.
