Liberty London unveils Florence Welch collab

Iconic department store teams with award winning singer for capsule nightwear collection.

Iconic department store Liberty London has further underlined its commitment to high-level brand and celebrity collaborations, teaming with Florence Welch for a new capsule collection of nightwear.

The Florence and the Machine frontwoman has worked with the retailer on a limited edition line of classic silk satin pyjamas, long and short kimonos, nighties and eye masks.

The six botanical prints used have been personally selected by Florence from the Liberty archives.

Highlights include Patricia, a pink paisley; Delilah, a bunch of azaleas, carnations and star flowers; Leontine, a purple, green and harvest gold print from 1963; and Evelyn, which comes in navy and blush, and didn’t previously exist as a print – it has been created from a paisley motif taken from a book of drawings which dates back to 1820.

Florence commented: “I do a lot of writing in the morning, still in my pyjamas with lots of very strong coffee. And as a Liberty print obsessive, I was honoured that Liberty allowed me to trawl though their archives to create this collection.”

Amelia Hornblow, director of product at Liberty, added: “Florence embodies the Liberty London women. She has an eclectic style, mixing colours and prints. We also love her sense of travel and adventure which mirrors that of Arthur Liberty, the original founder.”
