Prime Day 2021 was also the biggest two-day period ever for Amazon’s third party sellers globally.
LEGO F.R.I.E.N.D.S 25th Anniversary Collectors Set and Panini’s UEFA Euro 2020 Sticker Collection were among the best sellers in the toy category in the UK on this year’s Amazon Prime Day.
The event – which ran on 21-22 June – saw more than 250 million items purchased by Prime members worldwide.
It was the biggest two-day period ever for Amazon’s third party sellers globally, nearly all of which are small and medium-sized businesses.
In the two-week lead up to Prime Day, customers spent $1.9 billion on small business products during the ‘Spend £10, Get £10’ promotion period worldwide, more than a 100% year on year increase compared to the Prime Day 2020 promotion.
Other best sellers in the UK with licensing interest included the LEGO Harry Potter Collection for Nintendo Switch.
The most popular item purchased during Prime Day in the UK was the Fire TV Stick 4K Ultra HD with Alexa Voice Remote.
