Agency to manage global licensing for Sophie Long’s portfolio of artwork.
Larkshead Media has been appointed to manage the global licensing programme for street artist Sophie Long.
The Bristol-based artist – who was unveiled to the licensing business at last week’s Brand Licensing Europe – has a growing following on social media, posting her street art and canvas work which feature vibrant depictions of wild and endangered animals.
In her popular #20minuteartchallenge, Sophie produces pieces featuring whales, sharks, elephants and polar bears among less threatened animals such as pigeons and pigs.
She also created a successful campaign called Sophie’s Free-Bees, making original street art in the UK and US for her followers to find and raising awareness for Save the Bees.
Sophie’s work features in several contemporary galleries up and down the UK, and she is a favourite at urban paint festivals Upfest and Cheltenham Paintfest.
“It’s every artist’s dream to have someone who believes in your work and wants to help you succeed,” commented Sophie. “Having someone like Clare [Piggott] to support and push you is an amazing opportunity and I am excited to see where we go from here.”
Clare added: “Larkshead are delighted to be representing such a talented artist. Sophie’s dramatic and exquisite pieces, so widely enjoyed by her growing fanbase, demonstrate the importance and beauty of our world’s wildlife.”
