Special fabric has been created to celebrate 50 years of Range Rover.
Land Rover has teamed up with Savile Row tailor, Henry Poole & Co to create a special fabric to mark 50 years of Range Rover to make 50 bespoke men’s and women’s jackets.
The original 1970’s exterior paint colours of the Range Rover SUV – Tuscan Blue, Bahama Gold and Davos White – have inspired the new dog-tooth check fabric. Each jacket will be tailored to meet each customer’s individual requirements, reported The Industry.Fashion.
In addition to the Henry Poole collaboration, the same vehicle colours are available for the first time in 35 years on a limited edition Range Rover Fifty with 1,970 units available globally.
“Both Henry Poole and Range Rover have a unique heritage and the ability to create highly desirable products,” said Prof Gerry McGovern OBE, chief creative officer at Land Rover. “The exclusivity of both the Henry Poole jacket and the Range Rover Fifty edition make it a rarity which is something that appeals to both Henry Poole and Range Rover customers.”
Simon Cundey, md at Henry Poole & Co, added: “It has been a fantastic opportunity to work with Gerry McGovern and develop a jacket to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Range Rover.”
