Lacoste ‘builds bridges between two worlds’ with Minecraft collaboration

Lacoste has taken the wraps off its new collaboration with gaming brand Minecraft, with the company saying that it is about ‘building bridges’ between two worlds.

The collection of new essentials has been designed for spring/summer 2022 for fans to express their own style – in the real or the virtual world.

The Minecraft universe has been immersed into the collection for men, women and children, with the ready to wear apparel and accessories adorned with the pixelated graphics of the game.

Merging the ‘codes’ of both brands, the collection mixes pieces from the crocodile brand (printed polo, monochrome sweatshirt and caps) and more sportswear elements (logoed sports bras and tapered leggings). The crocodile has been redesigned and pixelated by the Minecraft Creative Studio, while quotes from both brands around the notion of play are featured on the collection’s key pieces.

In addition, Lacoste also unveiled the Croco Island Minecraft map alongside the collection. Available free to Minecraft gamers, the Lacoste-inspired map features a tennis court and beach.

The Lacoste x Minecraft collection is available from today (16 March) on the brand’s website, and in UK stores from 23 March.
