Kennedy Publishing revs up with new Hot Wheels magazine

Kennedy Publishing is taking to the grid with the launch of a new Hot Wheels magazine this month.

The title is aiming to extend the action and excitement of the Hot Wheels world onto the page, through a variety of activities including ‘epic’ makes, pitstop puzzles and a Hot Wheels Let’s Race comic in every issue.

The launch follows on from two successful one-shot issues of Everything Hot Wheels.

“Our longstanding partnership with Mattel already includes five successful children’s magazines so we’re delighted to be adding Hot Wheels to the roster,” commented Sophie Rowlands, licensing director at Kennedy Publishing. “Now is certainly the time to be onboard with the brand, with a brilliant new Netflix animation and a live-action movie in the works. We’ve secured impressive retail listings which, combined with engaging activities and exciting gifts, will ensure the magazine is a racing success for all fans to enjoy.”

Claudia Lucarella, head of publishing at Mattel EMEA, continued: “Kennedy Publishing are such incredible partners for us here at Mattel, which is why we are so excited to collaborate with them again, this time on the launch of Hot Wheels magazine. This new publication offers fans a unique way to experience the thrill and creativity of Hot Wheels off the track and on the page. With engaging activities, exclusive content, and exciting covermounts, Hot Wheels magazine is set to ignite the imaginations of budding car enthusiasts.”

The first issue will launch on 24 July with new issues every four weeks. Hot Wheels magazine features fan-favourite cars throughout on posters, in themed crafts and recipes, puzzles and colouring. Power Profiles put the spotlight on two cars each issue and come with a card to cut out and collect. Each issue will include covermounts for readers to carry the Hot Wheels thrills off the page.
