Kennedy Publishing acquires Andy’s Amazing Adventures magazine

Based on the long-running CBeebies series including Andy’s Dinosaur Adventures, Andy’s Safari Adventures and new Andy’s Global Adventures, Kennedy Publishing has acquired Andy’s Amazing Adventures magazine.

The title aims to take all of the best elements from the shows and combine them into an interactive magazine for preschoolers.

On sale from 30 October, Andy’s Amazing Adventures aims to reinforce the Early Years Learning guidance in a fun and interesting way. It includes stickers, stories, facts and puzzles, taking readers on a journey to get close to dinosaurs and wild creatures.

“Andy’s Amazing Adventures has been a huge broadcast success over the past 10 years, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with BBC Studios to publish the official magazine,” commented Sophie Rowlands, licensing director at Kennedy Publishing. “We’ll be breathing new life into the title with engaging activities and brand new exciting gifts which we know will be a hit with Andy’s young fans.”

Each issue will come with gifts, such as Andy’s own gizmo from the show and dinosaur figurines, and will tie into gift interactivity opportunities within the magazine. All toys and the materials within them are designed, developed and continually improved to provide readers with interactive items they want to play with, love and use again and again.

The magazine package encourages imaginative play, stimulates children’s curiosity and helps develop fine motor skills. Further callouts inside the magazine include ‘Andy’s Amazing Ideas!’, which provide grown-ups with guidance and ideas on how to expand the content, plus links to CBeebies online content and episodes on iPlayer.
