PAW Patrol and Bob the Builder creator to open Mojo Nation’s inaugural Play Creators Festival.
Keith Chapman – the creator behind a number of major children’s characters including PAW Patrol and Bob the Builder – is to talk through his creative process at this year’s Toy and Game Design Conference.
The conference day will kick off Mojo Nation’s inaugural Play Creators Festival and aims to unite designers, inventors and those interested in the creative industries.
Keith (pictured) is known for creating a raft of hit kids’ TV shows which have become just as successful in the consumer products space as on the small screen.
As well as PAW Patrol and Bob the Builder, these include Fifi and the Flowertots, while earlier in his career Keith worked on The Muppets, Muppet Babies and Fraggle Rock for The Jim Henson Company.
“I’m very excited to be part of the Toy and Game Design Conference this year,” said Keith. “I’ll be sharing my experiences, covering the creative process and the commercial viability of a TV show, and PAW Patrol in particular. I’ll be touching on the ingredients I believe are needed to help make a show a global success.”
Billy Langsworthy, co-founder of Mojo Nation, added: “PAW Patrol is one of the biggest properties to hit the toy space in recent years, so we’re over the moon to have Keith involved at the Conference to talk about the origins of the IP and his approach to creating incredible shows for kids.”
The Toy and Game Design Conference, sponsored by Hasbro, Alpha Group and Wynne-Jones IP, is taking place at London’s Emirates Stadium on Monday, September 10. For more information, simply click on this link.
