Katie Price joins The Roald Dahl Story Company

Hachette’s former director of licensing takes on key role as head of books.

The Roald Dahl Story Company has welcomed Katie Price as its new head of books.

Katie (pictured) was previously director of licensing at Hachette and will join the Roald Dahl team from May 7.

Head of books is a key role for the company, with Katie being tasked with driving the performance of publishing at retail in conjunction with Roald Dahl’s external trade partners.

“I am extremely excited and proud to be joining the Roald Dahl Story Company as head of books,” Katie commented. “Roald Dahl’s powers as a storyteller are unrivalled in their ability to engage young readers all over the world, and from all backgrounds.

“It’s a real privilege and responsibility to be working on new formats and genres for the readers of the future.”

Gideon Simeloff, strategy director for The Roald Dahl Story Company, added: “We are incredibly pleased and fortunate to have Katie join our team. She is an extremely experienced manager of children’s publishing brands, both as a brand owner and as a publisher.

“She has great experience across many geographical markets and publishing formats and will be invaluable in driving innovation within publishing at The Roald Dahl Story Company.”
