Karen Millen readies jewellery line for 2020

IMG brokers multi-year licensing deal with jewelley supplier Gecko.

Womenswear brand Karen Millen has revealed a new jewellery collection created in partnership with Gecko.

Launching in 2020, the 90-piece collection will consist of earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings. It will be released in all major Karen Millen stores and online in March, with prices ranging from £20 up to £170.

The collection will also launch globally through department stores, jewellers and online in spring, which will mark the first time that Karen Millen jewellery will be extensively available internationally.

The multi-year licensing deal was brokered by IMG.

“We are delighted to be working with Gecko as our new licensed jewellery partner,” said Beth Butterwick, ceo at Karen Millen. “It was clear through discussions we have a shared passion for delivering timeless quality and beauty for our global customer base.

“We are really excited about what the new collection brings, in spring 2020.”

Andrew Morton, md at Gecko, continued: “This is an exciting time for Gecko and we are delighted to be working with Karen Millen – one of the UK’s leading fashion brands – on the global jewellery license. We can’t wait to share the new collection with our customers.”

Tim Smith, licensing director at IMG, said that the deal marked the next step for Karen Millen as a global lifestyle brand, complementing its recently developed bag, footwear, homeware and swimwear ranges.
