Company swoops in to acquire popular animal imagery property from Dissero Brands.
Jewel Branding & Licensing has acquired the popular Rachael Hale animal imagery brand from Dissero Brands.
Launched in 1995, Rachael Hale has expanded its cute and quirky animal images across a raft of categories including apparel, giftware, home décor, stationery and back to school.
It has notched up sales in excess of $900 million and has a base of 75 licensees from over 60 countries.
Jewel is now working closely with Rachael Hale’s sub-agents and licensees around the globe to ensure a seamless transition.
In addition, Jewel plans to further expand Rachael Hale into key categories such as fashion, toys, personal care and stationery.
The brand will feature prominently on the Jewel booth at Licensing Expo next month.
“We are so honoured to carry on the Rachael Hale brand and legacy,” said Julie Newman, ceo and founder, Jewel Branding & Licensing. “I have immensely enjoyed working with Dissero on Rachael Hale for so many years.
“It is such a special and beloved brand and I’m excited about the opportunity to further expand Rachael Hale for new generations of animal lovers around the world.”
David Todd, president of Dissero Brands, added: “After 22 years creating, managing and growing the Rachael Hale brand, we are pleased to be selling the brand to our trusted longtime partner, Jewel Branding & Licensing.
“Jewel has a long history with Rachael Hale and with their expertise in global licensing, brand building and creative development, we know they will provide a good home for the continued success, growth and development of the brand.”
