Jazwares teases new Blackpink toy line

Bravado appoints company to create toy and collectable range for hit K-pop girl group.

Jazwares is due to unveil a first look at its new line of collectables and toys inspired by hit K-pop girl group, Blackpink, at Toy Fair New York this weekend.

The collection – described as ‘authentic, cool and chic’ – draws on the group members’ personalities, both on and off stage, for products which will appeal to die-hard ‘Blinks’ and casual fans.

Jazwares was inspired by each girls’ look, personality and talent and sought to bring their most iconic moments to life through toys and collectables.

For the dolls, each girl is represented through looks from Blackpink’s top singles – Kill This Love, DDU-DU DDU-DU and BOOMBAYAH – resulting in 24 stylised outfits that can be mixed and matched.

At launch, the line will include microphone mystery figures, heart surprise figure and accessories, light-up plush heart, with additional collectable items coming soon including fashion dolls, mini surprise collectable dolls with accessories, plush, role-play and Domez collectables.

The partnership between Jazwares and Blackpink was secured by Bravado.

“In just a few short years, Blackpink has established themselves as one of the hottest rising female groups in the music industry and we are thrilled to work together with the girls to bring a line of collectable products into the homes of fans around the globe,” said Laura Zebersky, chief commercial officer at Jazwares.

Debuting in 2016, Blackpink – Jisoo (지수), Jennie (제니), Rosé (로제) and Lisa (리사) – became the highest-charting female K-pop act on Billboard Hot 100, the first and only K-pop girl group to enter both Billboard 200 and Hot 100, as well as the first K-Pop girl group to play Coachella.

They have won more than 38 awards and received 149 nominations to date, plus have over 1.1 billion global Spotify streams in 79 countries.
