Jason Easy takes on new role with Concept One Accessories

Former Disney and BBC Studios executive, Jason Easy has joined New York-based accessories specialist Concept One as it looks to identify new opportunities in fresh territories.

Jason (pictured) has taken on the role of sales and licensing director EMEA at Concept One Accessories, which was founded 23 years ago and produces headwear, bags, luggage, small leather accessories and cold weather accessories.

As well as the US, it has offices in Mexico and China, with a host of licensing agreements spanning fashion, consumer and entertainment brands including Disney, Marvel, Warner Bros., Paramount, Nintendo, SEGA, Peanuts, Coca-Cola and NASA among others. It also holds the rights for New Balance backpacks and bags.

Jason’s immediate priority is to extend some of the company’s US licensing agreements into EMEA, as well as identifying new opportunities. He will also look to build Concept One’s retail footprint and routes to market, initially focusing on the UK and then Germany, Spain, France, Italy and beyond. A London-based office – near Old Street – complete with a showroom is due to open in the summer.

Prior to joining Concept One Accessories, Jason worked at Disney, managing its LEGO business across EMEA, while he also spent over seven years at BBC Studios as head of licensing.

“I am incredibly excited to have joined Concept One; we have big ambitions to grow the accessories category,” Jason told LicensingSource. “If you’d like to see us in Vegas, we have taken a booth (M229) at Licensing Expo, where will be hosting both rights owners and retailers.”

Sam Hafif, ceo of Concept One Accessories, added: “We were fortunate to hire Jason as our director of sales and licensing in EMEA. It’s not everyday that you meet someone with both licensing experience, as well as retail relationships across such a lucrative region.”
