The company has struck a deal with ITV Studios Global Entertainment to become master strategic publishing partner for the BBC and Netflix co-production.
The agreement covers all territories and languages, with Pan Macmillan launching the media tie-in publishing range from autumn/winter 2010 to coincide with the broadcast premiere.
The Richard Adams classic is one of the best loved novels of all time, selling more than 50 million copies worldwide.
The new CG animation boasts an all star cast including James McAvoy, John Boyega, Sir Ben Kingsley, Olivia Colman, Miles Jupp, Freddie Fox, Anne-Marie Duff and Gemma Arterton.
Pan Macmillan’s range will include a Gift Picture Story Book and a Colouring Book.
Alongside the publishing, other licensed product will also roll out from autumn/winter 2018, with deals already underway and due to be announced in the coming weeks. Categories being targeted by ITV include gift, stationery, homewares, conservation-themed promotions and gardening accessories.
