Intu teams with WBCP for super hero takeover

Series of events and activities taking place until September 2 across Intu’s shopping centres.

Intu has teamed up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for a super hero takeover across its 15 shopping centres this summer.

A first for the UK, the partnership will see a series of free family-friendly events and activities taking place until September 2, with WBCP – on behalf of DC Entertainment – bringing Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman official costume characters to Intu’s 35 million customers.

The super heroes will make personal appearances at all Intu centres including Trafford Centre, Lakeside and Metrocentre as part of the campaign.

Members of Intu’s kids clubs will also be encouraged to ‘be a DC Super Hero this summer’ with weekly workshops. Children will also be tasked with tracking down the villains hidden within the centres.

Trevor Pereira, commercial and digital director at intu, said: “Thanks to intu’s nationwide scale and consumer facing brand, we’ve been able to team up with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to feature the world’s best known Super Heroes in the UK.

“This will make every one of our centres a must-visit destination over the school holidays with incredible DC Super Hero-inspired entertaining activities for families everywhere.

“It’s been fantastic working with Warner Bros. Consumer Products to bring the power of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to life in a way that’s unique with this campaign in the UK and is certain to attract more families into our centres and help all our retailers to flourish over the summer.”
