intu reveals second Christmas promo with Playmobil

Initiative follows on from successful ‘play zones’ with brand across the summer.

The Playmobil brand has launched its second Christmas campaign with shopping centre owner, intu.

The campaign, which also follows the success of Playmobil ‘play zones’ at intu centres nationwide last summer, will provide visitors to Christmas grottos at six of intu’s popular retail and leisure destinations with a Playmobil gift.

Families will also be invited to take part in a competition to win an entire Playmobil range by posting a letter to Father Christmas from branded post boxes at all 14 intu centres nationwide.

Playmobil will be jingling all the way to grottos at intu Trafford Centre, intu Metrocentre, intu Braehead, intu Lakeside, intu Broadmarsh and intu Watford throughout November and December.

Jamie Dickinson, marketing manager at Playmobil, said: “We are really excited to be teaming up with intu centres again this year.

“We are looking forward to spreading some festive cheer to families across the UK, and encouraging imaginative, creative play by children during the holiday season.”

Roger Binks, customer experience director at intu, added: “By taking advantage of the opportunity provided by intu’s prime retail and leisure destinations, the campaign will also deliver a highly effective level of engagement for this top toy brand and increase footfall to all the brands in our centres over the festive season.”
