Intimissimi Uomo unveils menswear collaboration dedicated to Asterix

Asterix brand owner Éditions Albert René and Maurizio Distefano Licensing, which manages licensing in Italy for the Asterix brand, have secured a partnership with Oniverse (formerly known as Calzedonia Group) for a menswear capsule collection dedicated to Asterix.

The collection is part of the new spring/summer 2024 range from Oniverse’s menswear company, Intimissimi Uomo.

Aiming to combine classic style, creativity and innovation, the items feature characters including Asterix and Obelix, the little dog Idefix and Falabella.

The capsule includes printed briefs and boxer shorts, a t-shirt with breast pocket and embroidery, plus two sets of pyjamas, one long and one short sleeved. The colours of black, grey and forest green reflect the identity of Intimissimi Uomo.

“We are very proud of this partnership with Oniverse, Calzedonia Group, a leader in its field, whose menswear enjoys high awareness and strong market positioning,” commented Baptiste Cazaux, head of licensing at Éditions Albert René. “The recognisable Asterix characters lend a witty note to Intimissimi Uomo’s high quality garments.”

Maurizio Distefano, president of the agency of the same name, added: “We are very happy to have Asterix among our brand representations. It’s an evergreen brand, iconic and with an appeal to multiple ages and target markets. The richness of the characters and the splendid style guides allow licensees to create products that are always new and desirable – for the buyer or as gifts. This Intimissimi Uomo collection brilliantly expresses all the strength of the Asterix brand and especially its fun spirit, loved by all.”
