Expert licensing industry duo, Steven Ekstract and Stu Seltzer are getting ready for the launch of their new book, Brand Licensing For Dummies.
Available from 19 May in print and digital formats, the book is aiming to become an essential resource for anyone looking to understand, enter or expand within the fast growing world of licensing.
Written in the approachable, reader-friendly style that defines the For Dummies series, Brand Licensing For Dummies breaks down the often-complex world of licensing into practical, step-by-step strategies. Readers will learn how to extend brands into new markets and product categories through licensing deals, strategic collaborations and brand partnerships.
Steven Ekstract, founder and ceo of X Tracks Licensing Forums and co-founder of License Global, brings over 30 years of experience in global licensing, while his co-author, Stu Seltzer is president of Seltzer Licensing Group, a global agency which he has led for over 25 years. A 2024 inductee into the Licensing International Hall of Fame, Seltzer is also an award-winning professor who has taught brand licensing at NYU for over 20 years.
“Licensing is one of the smartest ways to grow your business – it opens doors to new products, new customers and new revenue without the heavy lift and risk of building a brand from scratch,” commented Stu. “Whether you’re running a startup or managing a global company, this book shows you how licensing can help take your business to the next level.”
Steven continued: “We wrote this book to demystify the licensing process. From legal terms to marketing strategies, Brand Licensing For Dummies offers a comprehensive, 360-degree look at how to succeed in the $356 billion global licensing industry.”
