Over £17k raised from Tuesday night’s raffle, while charity now has its own song.
A host of big name prizes had the industry digging deep for the raffle at this year’s Licensing Awards.
Over £17,000 was raised on Tuesday night for industry charity, The Light Fund, with prizes generously donated by the likes of Bioworld International, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Bravado, Chelsea FC, Danilo, Smiley, Blues, 20th Century Fox, Warner Bros. Consumer Products and England Rugby.
The star prize – £2,500 of travel vouchers, kindly donated by Bioworld International – was won by Naz Cuevas from Sybo Games.
In addition, The Light Fund committee members Ashley Holman (Nickelodeon) and Hannah Mungo (Universal Brand Development) took to the stage to tell the assembled guests more about what the charity has achieved so far this year.
Hannah also talked about the Bristol to Dublin Cycle Challenge, which is taking place in June 2018 and is The Light Fund’s most ambitious fund raiser to date.
On top of this, The Light Fund now has its very own song. Earlier this year the band Ryker Sear, fronted by Regan Gardner, daughter of LIMA UK’s Kelvyn Gardner, released a single Called One Time Thing that reached number six in the Music Week Pop Chart.
This has been re-recorded with new lyrics relating specifically to The Light Fund that will be available to download on all the major music platforms with all the funds going directly to the charity.
