Team of 15 brave 100 degree Vegas heat as training for Toy Trust event in July.
A 15-strong team of licensing and toy industry executives saddled up to take on a desert challenge ahead of the start of this week’s Licensing Expo.
Organised by CPLG uk md, Stephen Gould, the bike ride was part of their preparations for the Toy Trust Big Cambridge Challenge.
The fundraising day for the toy industry charity takes place on July 2 at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire, and includes an 80-mile bike ride.
Starting early – before the temperature climbed above 100 degrees – the group tackled a challenging summit at the end of the ride.
The eOne duo of Andrew Carley and Hannah Mungo (who was the only female to brave the ride) were named King and Queen of the Mountains respectively.
Other riders included Jonathan Tillery (Asda/George), Anthony Temple (DRi/Rainbow Designs), Warren Traeger (Icon Live), Dan Grant (Danilo), Mike Stagg (Disney), Norman Thompson (Imagin8), Terry Lamb and Mark Pringle (Corsair) and Ted Larkins (CPLG US) among others.
Dan Grant, senior licensing manager at Danilo, commented: “It really was one of those ‘once in a lifetime’ experiences. It was wonderful to share with so many from the licensing community.
“I was very pleased to actually make it to the top of the mountain!”
