IMG welcomes Jackie Robinson Foundation to roster

Agency will pursue licensing, cause marketing and institutional campaign initiatives.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation has partnered with IMG to pursue licensing, cause marketing and institutional campaign initiatives that will drive awareness for and help fund JRF’s work to ensure college success and career advancement for highly motivated students of colour with limited financial resources.

The agency will be aiming to partner with companies which share JRF’s goals to close the achievement gap in higher-education and promote community service, civic engagement and the humanitarian ideals that define the life and legacy of Jackie Robinson, who broke the colour barrier in Major League Baseball in 1947.

“JRF has worked to level the playing field in higher education and the workplace for 47 years – disbursing nearly $100 million in aid to talented young people who become leaders in their professions and communities,” commented Della Britton, president and ceo of the Jackie Robinson Foundation. “We’re very excited to be working with a leading organization of IMG’s calibre.

“IMG stands for the ideals embodied in the life of our namesake and will work to secure partnerships with other like-minded companies to help further our mission.”

Bruno Maglione, president of licensing at IMG, added: “As Douglas Adams once wrote, ’42 is the answer to everything’ and JRF’s almost 50-year mission of providing educational opportunity, mentoring and leadership training in responsible citizenship and productive civic engagement underscores this truth each year with the exclamation mark of some 242 impressive JRF college scholars.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to contribute to both the Jackie Robinson legacy and the JRF mission.”
