IMG partners with Claire’s to extend fashion brand through licensing

Global fashion brand, Claire’s Holdings – best known for its curation of fun, fashionable jewellery and accessories – has appointed IMG as its first ever exclusive licensing partner.

IMG will look to deliver Claire’s branded products to new categories, building upon existing touchpoints among its customers, while further expanding its distribution footprint and geographic coverage.

Under the multi-year agreement, IMG will bring to market complementary products that support Claire’s brand purpose to inspire self-expression and individuality. The licensing programme will extend across the globe with a focus on categories ranging from apparel, fashion accessories, room décor, plus other lifestyle and special occasion products for Gen Alpha, Gen Z and beyond.

The licensed products will align with Claire’s current positioning with an offering that is accessible in style, price and distribution.

“At Claire’s we are reimagining the ways we reach and interact with consumers by letting the interests and passions of Gen Zalpha lead our brand,” commented Kristin Patrick, evp and chief marketing officer at Claire’s. “In our conversations, our consumers have told us they want more from us, and this partnership with IMG allows us to extend Claire’s brand proposition, aesthetic, and values across an even wider canvas of products and shopping destinations relevant to them while maintaining the creative integrity that makes our brand so beloved and distinctive.”

Bruno Maglione, president of licensing at IMG, continued: “We are excited to deploy strategic licensing to further develop the ways Claire’s can welcome the strong affinity and appeal the brand has, especially with the highly sought after Gen Alpha and Gen Z shoppers. We aim to develop a range of creative products that complement its current offerings and global footprint.”
