Anna Knight, vp licensing at Informa Markets, has said she is immensely proud of what her team achieved last week in helping to bring the industry back together at Brand Licensing Europe.
“I am so proud of what we achieved last week and I want to thank every single person on my team, as well as our exhibitors, sponsors, partners, suppliers, speakers and visitors for bringing BLE back in person and helping to reconnect the European licensing industry in style,” Anna told LicensingSource. “We have truly missed doing business face to face, bumping into industry friends, being introduced to new ones and belly laughing over drinks.”
Anna continued: “I have so many highlights, from interviewing Tom Daley and Charlotte Worthington, to being blown away by the Sustainability Activation, patting the Battersea dogs, being surrounded by characters in the parade, and – most importantly – seeing how happy everyone was being back together and hearing great feedback from our exhibitors and visitors.”
For those unable to come along to ExCeL last week, the online event will run from 30 November to 1 December. There is also content available on the online platform from today (22 November) including Licensing U.
Anna added: “Next year, we are beyond excited to be bringing Licensing Expo Vegas back in person in May with our LBE theme, and it’s only ten months till BLE 2022, too, when fashion will be strutting its stuff on the BLE catwalk.”
In addition, the final day of the in-person show (Friday 19 November) saw the Kelvyn Gardner License This winners crowned.
Sophie Jonas-Hill and Tea for Tattoo won the Brand & Design category; Joel Mercer and Seedfolk was victorious in Character & Animation; while Wayne Lindsay and Imaginnovation won Product Design in partnership with Mojo Nation.
