Actor, comedian and former brand manager takes charge of inaugural event.
With just two weeks to go until the first ever Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards, we can reveal that actor, comedian and former Unilever brand manager, Hugh Dennis, will be hosting.
Now best known as a celebrated comedian – notably as one half of Punt and Dennis, with comedy partner Steve Punt – and actor (especially a star turn as the father, Pete Brockman, in BBC1 sitcom Outnumbered), in his former life Hugh was a brand manager at Unilever.
He worked on brands including Mentadent, Timoteo and Denim aftershave – making him perfectly placed to understand the importance of brands in the marketplace.
Among Hugh’s other credits are being team captain on popular quiz show Mock the Week, regular appearances on Have I Got News For You, Not Going Out, Canned Carrott, QI and They Think It’s All Over to name a few. He also writes and presents two long running radio shows – The Now Show on Radio 4 and It’s Been A Bad Week for Radio 2.
The B&LLAs will take place on Wednesday April 20, with a lavish afternoon ceremony at The Dorchester Hotel. You can get your tickets to the eagerly anticipated event by contacting Clare Davies of Createvents on clare@createvents.co.uk or call 0118 334 0085.
