Event Merchandising launches official products for UK City of Culture 2017.
Event Merchandising has been appointed to run the merchandising programme for Hull 2017 – as it gears up to become the UK City of Culture in the New Year.
Such is the excitement surrounding the event, official merchandise has become one of the most searched for terms on Google for Hull 2017.
Event Merchandising has now opened a store in House of Fraser, as well as an official online store.
Items include t-shirts, hoodies, umbrellas, mugs, badges, hats and stationery among others. There are 20 products in the range in total.
One of the t-shirts features a new design by international artist Mark Wigan, co-founder of Hull’s Museum of Club Culture, who will be unveiling a further three 2017 art works throughout the year.
The merchandise release follows on the launch of a collection of City of Culture wines from House of Townend.
Phil Batty, director of marketing, communities and legacy for 2017, told the Hull Daily Mail: “With one of the most important years in this city’s history just weeks away, Hull 2017 official merchandise is a fantastic opportunity to grab a souvenir to go with the memories being UK City of Culture will bring.
“Not only that, they make good Christmas presents, with the added bonus that they will also be raising money to support arts projects after 2017 is over.”
