Hot Topic throws weight behind Suicide Squad

US retailer offering trip to NY premiere alongside full range of merchandise.

US retail licensed specialist Hot Topic is throwing its weight behind the upcoming Suicide Squad in a big way.

The retailer is offering visitors to its website the chance to win a trip to New York for the premiere of the film by creating their own squad.

The trip includes airfare for two, plus two nights hotel stay, tickets to the premiere and $250 spending money. Total retail value is $2,250.

The competition is running alongside Hot Topic’s full range of Suicide Squad merchandise.

The comprehensive range includes t-shirts, posters, statues, figures, jewellery, hats and belts among other items.

Suicide Squad is the latest big brand to be pushed by Hot Topic. This week, it received the Retailer award at the LIMA International Licensing Awards for its innovative Doctor Who programme.
