Hot Topic gets behind Twin Peaks return

Exclusive collaboration also sees CBS team up with BoxLunch in the US.

CBS Consumer Products and Showtime are celebrating the eagerly awaited return of the 1990’s cult TV series Twin Peaks, teaming with US retailers Hot Topic and BoxLunch for an exclusive collaboration.

The new David Lynch series – which picks up 25 years after the original – will air on Showtime from Sunday May 21.

The consumer products collaboration features a wide array of merchandise including collectables, accessories and exclusive apparel.

To launch the line, Hot Topic will focus on Twin Peaks apparel and figures including exclusive women’s dresses, t-shirts and accessories. Meanwhile, Funko figures of fan favourites such as Agent Cooper and The Log Lady will also be available.

A special in-store event will also take place on May 20 at Hot Topic’s Hollywood & Highland location.

The programme will also extend into BoxLunch stores nationwide, with Twin Peaks in-store displays featuring the apparel, figures, stationery and more.

There will also be BoxLunch-only product such as the Good Coffee Apron that takes styling cues from the Double R Diner’s work uniform and an exclusive capsule jewellery collection.

“The love for Twin Peaks is as strong now as it was when the show first debuted in 1990,” said Veronica Hart, senior vice president of CBS Consumer Products.

“We’re excited to collaborate with Hot Topic and BoxLunch to help them showcase a stylish fashion line and new collectables as fans gear up for the new series.”

The licensing programme also includes the likes of Fifth Sun, Trevco, Habitat Skateboards, Rock Love, Just Funky and Bif Bang Pow.
