Company secures multi-year agreement with Up Town Sport for range.
HEAD is set to further expand its range, teaming with New York-based Up Town Sport for the creation of a golf apparel collection.
The range – which will include polo shirts, golf outerwear, sweaters and shorts – is expected to hit retail in October.
“Up Town Sport is committed to continuing with the brand’s heritage and to explore further HEAD’s wonderful history in the golf area,” said Robert Haley, president of Up Town Sports. “Our management team has 100+ years of experience in golf design, sales, manufacturing and service, and will draw on this extensive expertise to bring HEAD golf apparel back to prominence in the golf market.”
Giuseppe Faranna, vp and division manager licensing at HEAD Sport GmbH, added: “For us it’s a big thing to start again with Up Town Sport in the area of golf apparel, for what we have been preparing this now for a while in order to be sure to make it right and with the right partner.
“We trust into the long experienced management team of Up Town Sport and are excited to see some innovative and high quality garments into our HEAD Golf collection.”
