Hasbro’s new Hanazuki series makes POP debut

New animated series – Full of Treasures – is aimed at ages six to nine and premieres today.

Hasbro’s latest animated series – Hanazuki: Full of Treasures – has made its debut today (March 26) on POP.

Aimed at ages six to nine, the new series features a host of characters and aims to transport viewers into a distant galaxy full of colourful moons and a mysterious dark force that threatens the new world.

It follows the adventures of Hanazuki, exploring her lunar world and meeting a host of characters along the way.

The series has been inspired by the character creations from Amsterdam based artists Niko Stumpo and Hanneke Metselaar. It has been produced by Hasbro Studios in collaboration with Titmouse Studios.

Fans were introduced to the brand in the Hanazuki theatrical short which played before My Little Pony: The Movie, which was released last October.

Season one will feature 27 11-minute animated episodes, airing weekdays at 10am and 4.30pm on POP. From April 16, it will move to a regular position of weekdays at 5pm and weekends at 10am.

“Hanazuki is a strong, multidimensional and relatable heroine and we are excited to introduce her to POP viewers across the UK,” said Nina Scales, vp international distribution at Hasbro.

“Hanazuki: Full of Treasures encourages audiences to embrace their ever-changing emotions and celebrate them in a uniquely empowering way. We know audiences will fall in love with Hanazuki and her magical and eccentric world.”

A Full of Treasures app is also available for iOS and Android which allows fans to become a moonflower like Hanazuki. Players can choose their mood, play games and customise their own moon.
