Hasbro welcomes new president and general manager, Europe

Matthew Austin joins from Lindt & Sprungli where he was ceo for the UK and Ireland.

Hasbro has appointed Matthew Austin as president and general manager, European sales and marketing.

Matthew (pictured) will be leading Hasbro SA’s services and distribution network across Europe.

Reporting in to Hasbro’s chief commercial officer, Wiebe Tinga, Matthew joins the company from Lindt & Sprungli where he was ceo for the UK and Ireland.

Prior to Lindt, he worked for Mars as general manager for European confections and general manager for Mars Food in Germany.

“We are thrilled to have Matt join our team as we continue to execute our strategy and unlock the power of our brands across Europe,” said Wiebe.  “Matt’s leadership and in-depth knowledge of the market will help our teams navigate the ever-changing shifts in retail and consumer behavior across the region.”
