Hasbro and Smiley join POC’s sustainability discussion at Bologna Licensing Trade Fair

Hasbro, Smiley World, and the Italian production company Al-One will be joining Products of Change for a special discussion on the power of storytelling in the pursuit of positive change at this week’s Bologna Licensing Trade Fair.

Leaders from the brand, licensing, and entertainment industry will take to the stage to deliver a compelling discussion on how brands today are ‘utilising storytelling across product, media, publishing and content to drive social and environmental change.’

Chaired by Products of Change’s Helena Mansell-Stopher, the discussion will dive into topics spanning the use of narrative to highlight sustainability and social responsibility across audiences and products, as well as the opportunity we as an industry have to ‘inspire action and foster a collective commitment to positive change.’

Joining the conversation when the panel session gets underway at 12.25pm on 9 April will be Marianne James, VP EMEA & Asia licensed consumer products, Hasbro; Alan Vele, producer and ceo at Al-One; and Daniele Tombini, VP business development southern Europe, at Smiley World.

The panel session, titled ‘Utilising storytelling across product, media, publishing, and content to catalyse social and environmental change’ will take place in the Licensing Conference Room, Hall 29, Mall 2 located inside the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair kids’ hall. The session will run from 12.25pm to 1.10pm.

“Utilising storytelling across product development, media, and publishing to catalyse social and environmental change is a powerful strategy,” said Helena. “By weaving narratives that highlight sustainability and social responsibility into our products, media content, and published works, we have a chance to inspire action and foster a collective commitment to positive change.

“Join us as we explore how storytelling can be harnessed across a variety of different platforms to drive meaningful impact on both societal and environmental fronts.”
