Company scoops Best Licensed Card Range for its Star Wars: The Force Awakens line.
Hallmark is celebrating winning the Best Licensed Card Range at last night’s Henries awards.
The company scooped the prize for its Star Wars: The Force Awakens range.
Other nominees in the category included UK Greetings for its Disney Originals line; Pigment’s Happy Jackson line; Cardmix’s Off the Leash range; Danilo for its PAW Patrol collection; and Quentin Blake from Woodmansterne.
The win comes as Hallmark revealed the results of a survey carried out for International Literacy Day, which saw children (aged five to 12) talk about why they like receiving and sending greeting cards.
Part of the survey – which was conducted by Censuswide – asked the children if they could write a card to any famous character, who would it be?
Harry Potter came out on top with 22%, followed by Spider-man at number two (13%) and Bart Simpson in third (12%).
Horrid Henry (11%), Peppa Pig (7%), Peter Pan (5.40%), Superman (5%), Minnie Mouse (4.40%), Superwoman (4%) and Dora the Explorer (3%) made up the rest of the top ten.
The most popular famous character that girls aged five to 12 would write a card to is Harry Potter (26%), compared to Spider-man who was chosen by 22% of boys of the same age.
