Company to bring music from popular country artists into US greeting card aisles.
Hallmark Cards has secured a new licensing deal with the Country Music Association, which will see it bring music from some of the most popular country artists to greeting card aisles across the US.
The company will launch products using songs from CMA-member artists including Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Little Big Town among others.
The collection – which will launch in select Walmart stores in October, followed by a nationwide roll out through multiple retail channels in November – will include 12 song cards.
Each card will feature a 15-second sound clip from some of the artists’ top songs. These will include number ones such as All American Girl from Carrie Underwood and Mud on the Tires from Brad Paisley.
“People love to connect with each other through music, and we’re thrilled to bring some of today’s hottest country music artists to Hallmark cards,” said Kelly Reichman, director at Hallmark Licensing.
“Capturing the spirit of today’s CMA-member artists, this collection celebrates good times with friends.”
Emily Evans, CMA director of strategic partnerships, added: “This year marks the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards, and we are excited this partnership with Hallmark gives our fans another way to celebrate.
“Country Music tells the story of everyday living and these cards are a memorable way to mark life’s special moments.”
